Stopped at Joe's for a bite and a drink. The food was excellent. I had the Beyond burger and it was legitly the best veggie burger of my life. Drinks and food we're fairlt priced and the service was great. I definitely would go back in a heart beat. I would love to stay at their cabins as well.

Great place with delicious food. The waitresses are super nice. I brought my 2 year old daughter there and they gave her toys and crayons and we had a really fun time. They also serve non-alcoholic beer, which I found to be a rare menu item. The ribs were really good and the portions are really large. The prices were very reasonable too. Great job guys!!

Full Disclosure: This review is based on rooms and water access only - I did not eat in the restaurant so I cannot comment on it's quality.
We stayed at Joe's during the recent heat wave and were disappointed to discover the air conditioner did not work and that our room was a few degrees warmer than the outside temperature at any given time of day.
We did not have an expectation of spending a great deal of time in our room but we did have plans of perhaps eating a meal, grabbing a nap and/or just cooling off from the heat. We discovered that no one would be coming to fix the air conditioner, nor would they be replacing the unit during our 3 day stay.
Our room became a sort of running joke within our large group because of how uncomfortably warm it was, that was until the cabin next to ours also had a malfunctioning AC unit. That AC unit also remained unfixed for the duration of the stay.
Our bathroom sink was also badly clogged and wouldn't drain rendering it useless. The heat from the room caused non-stop condensing of the porcelain toilet and sink base which built up throughout the day to create mini-floods that we had to mop up with towels.
At best our concerns were minimized and trivialized and at worst we felt ignored.
The room was clean when we checked in and they had a proper set of bathroom goodies for showering etc but that's about it for the pro's.
There is a nice cool river behind the location but there is virtually no access from the property save a steep and muddy bank that is less than inviting. The lake is driving distance, biking distance and maybe walking distance if you are committed and travelling light (no coolers etc).
I would say that as an overnight stop it serves it's purpose but if you are planning on staying a few days I hope you have a better experience than we did but from my experience I wouldn't bet on it.

Just had the best meal! Prime rib and Yorkshire pudding with veggies and mashed potatoes (the special of the day) which I shared with my daughter. My husband had the Joe's fresh salad, he ate everything and said it was just wonderful.

Sheena was the cutest little waitress and made sure we had everything we needed when we needed it!
